ISB was inaugurated in 2001, and by associating with leading schools commenced the PG programme. This was the result of an idea conceived by a group of business leaders and expert academicians in 1996 to meet Asia's need for an effective business school. During the course, from conception to inauguration ISB entered into alliances with Kellogg school of Management and Wharton School. the first batch of Post Graduate Programme commenced at ISB with a group of 128 students.
The residential nature of the programme, the short duration of an year, the exchange programme with Wharton, the rigorous curriculum and Asia focus combined with a global perspective makes ISB attractive. ISB has been able to set a track record in winning great pay packages for their students within such a short term of establishment.
ISB ranks 20 in Financial Times annual MBA 2008 rankings, also being the first Indian school to gain a place in the FT B school ranking. In the Top Full Time Asia Pacific MBA Programmes category, ISB ranks three.
"The FT ranking is calculated on the basis of 20 criteria covering specifics like career progress of graduates, diversity of the MBA experience, international mobility of alumni, ideas generation and research, etc."

AIM is set in Hyderabad, the capital of a city emerging of promises for numerous fields. The school campus houses Student Villages ofefring four bedroom and studio apartments. These apartments are serviced, fully furnished and well equipped with a cable connection, voice and data ports for telephone, campus LAN and Internet.
